I don't usually run missed connection posts, but it's Summer and this one recently posted on Reddit is too adorbs to ignore:
I was staying at a Resort in Waikiki Hawaii this past week and met someone who plays SL…
They saw my husband, son, and two dogs in the lobby as they were checking in. A father, mother, and daughter wanted to pet our dogs. Naturally we said yes since one of our dogs lives to meet new people — it wasn't until they walked away that my husband later told me the mother was wearing an SL T-shirt. I kept looking for them for the rest of our duration but never saw them again.
The doggos in question are depicted above! The dog owner is Savage Riddler in SL, who gave me these specifics where/when the meeting took place, and how to get in touch with them:
The meeting of SLers and doggos took place at Alohilani Resort in Waikiki, O'ahu. "I believe it happened on August 5th Tuesday, sometime in the afternoon," they tell me.
You can message Ms. Riddler in-world, where she runs the Paragraph Roleplayer group, or via the Reddit post, or on her SL-themed Flickr page, where she posts the occasional cool pic (as above).
Whatever happens, I hope to have an update to the rest of the story!
* Also, if you ever do go to Alohilani Resort, one of the best brunch spots on O'ahu is a short drive/Lyft away: Koko Head Cafe. Tell them Hamlet sent you. (And they will look at your strangely.)
