Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
Yumi Sere posted this fantastic picture last year. I forget how I came across it, but I love it. It’s so compelling even though, at first glance, you might think it’s breaking all the rules of composition with that sheep up near the top. But the sheep is a third of the way from the right side, so the sheep follows the Rule of Thirds and let me explain how the grass and flowers do, too, even though they leave very little room for sky. The bottom third of the picture is purely grass. The middle third is flowers, and the top third is the sky, sheep, and grass. There are thirds, just not the way we are used to seeing them.

Among her albums, there is one called “Rain” that I love. I live in Oregon, I have to love the rain or move. Google Translate tells me the title “… ::: 그렇게 살아가는것 ::: …” means “Living Like That,” I wonder if Yumi lives in a rainy place like Oregon or if she just loves the rain. I love how she is standing where the lines of the tracks and the lines of the train converge. She’s making the peace sign with her hands. Is she surrendering or thanking the sky for the rain?
Pictures of romance are a large part of her stream. I like that they are suitable for anybody anywhere, yet still full of emotion and desire. She achieves this with striving to make sure they are either looking at each other or touching, but without ever trespassing anyone’s sensibilities. I love to see it. In her own words, ““Capturing moments, feelings, memories, sensations, emotions – that's the main purpose of my photography.”
Yumi Sere’s photostream is a mix of landscapes, head and body shots of her avatar, and romantic moments with her love. She describes her album this way, “Some pictures show my personality, some others show my fantasy and some left show my moods. There’s where I show love, those are not pictures, those are pieces of life.” She definitely succeeds in showing us those pieces of life.
