Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
Artemis Fate and her action photos were featured just a few months ago [click here] but yesterday’s column about magazine covers reminded me of her Avatar Trading Cards [for full album, click here.] She wrote about her project beneath this picture of some of her card collection.
This is a project I'd been working on for a bit now. Even though I don't RP much, I like creating characters and thinking through details that help make them come to life. I had been thinking of ways to show them off easily which was the idea behind the "Usual Suspects" photos, but they were a bit tough to deal with and didn't give much personality or info in themselves.
When I was a kid, I used to collect these sorts of Marvel Trading Cards that just highlighted a character's biography and stats. I realized it might be fun to replicate that with SL characters (especially since a lot of them were originally made for a superhero themed MMO), so I set up this series. Going to try and keep them up to date when I redo avatars or make new ones.

Mei’s Trading Card (above) even includes her Meyer-Briggs scoring. We get her height and weight details as well as her species type. What follows is a very abbreviated history. “Mei is part punk, part occult, and all chaos.” Sounds like a fun person to know.
Ashley’s Trading Card tells us that she is a squirrel who has been in SL since 2010. She’s interested in fashion, art, and boxing. She won a big boxing tournament in 2014. I love it.
Here’s the really cool thing and I hope some of you readers jump on this. She created a template PhotoShop file for the trading cards and uploaded it for anyone to use here [download link here] In the description for the first photo, she gives some tips and also offers to help if you’re stuck. So, let’s see more Avatar Trading Cards! I love them.
