Pelayo Martin posted the banner showing his fabulous “Amazon” was being used for a group header. Intrigued, I looked for the full picture and it was so much more than I expected. I love how he frames his head with the falling leaves. It is truly extraordinary.

“Divinities: Magma” is another example of how extraordinary we could be in Second Life. I often wonder why so many of us, including me, opt to recreate an iteration of real life in our Second Lifes with clothes we would wear if we could afford them and houses and furniture that reflect our real life taste. We could be anything and we choose to be ourselves rather than someone more exciting and fantastical. I admire people who step outside reality in Second Life, who have fur or tails or skin that radiates magma. There’s a creative streak that I admire, but do not try to develop myself. I don’t really know why.

“Lavender” is Pelayo’s most popular picture. It’s easy to see why. It’s so beautiful, it gave me goosebumps. I love the attention to detail that Pelayo puts into styling these harmonious and surreal outfits.
Pelayo Martin’s photostream is one amazing, whimsical, fantastical, surreal, and extraordinary picture after another. It’s so full of stunning pictures, one after another. Some are incredibly moving and paging down, seeing picture after picture, the totality of so much imagination gave me goosebumps. I don’t forget that the creators who made the objects and skins are also imaginative. That is part of it, Pelayo highlights and amplifies the imagination of others by combining their work into a whole greater than its parts.
