Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting

Silivren Atheria shot this amazing picture using the new Aperture viewer recently added to the approved third-party viewers for Second Life. (Read Hamlet’s write-up and interview with lead developer William Weaver here.) It is a viewer created for photography and folks are having great fun with it. Sillivren wrote “I actually love the post processing / photoshop when doing any pics, RL or SL. But having a viewer that can start that process when actually taking the pic? My inspiration may have found it's way back again.”

Christian Carter posted this rather uncomfortable picture. I cannot quite imagine sleeping on it though it does happen. I love the color gradient, something Christian points out was shot raw in Aperture. He has another picture that is very exciting. I struggled with which to choose and went with this one because it is a raw shot. 

Madi and snoop posted “Aperture Viewer is amazing” which kind of says it all. As does the description:

Ｌａｎａ posted this gorgeous picture. Even though you cannot see it, you can feel the moonlight as it lights her skin. But as the title tells us, this is “Aperture Raw.” I love the tension in her body. She looks like she is a spy listening to hear an opportunity to move secretly and quietly to fulfill her mission.

Isobel Zamora gives us “Bespoke by Zamora.” I can’t quite imagine brushing my teeth in the morning and seeing that face in the mirror. It’s quite scary. I love the picture and the lighting. The picture is gorgeous even though it’s scary.

Tamarind Silverfall shared “Music of the Night” with a gorgeous foggy night. Again the lighting is subtle and extraordinary.

Aperture has inspired Second Life artists, even reviving some people’s excitement about shooting pictures.
