Cursiichella recently posted this delightful picture and I immediately thought she’s Pippi Longstocking all grown up. I love the mischievous spirit she portrays. Definitely, she would lead an expedition to a circus.

This is such a striking picture. There is worry in her lowered brow and a trace of tears on her cheek. Her expression is tentative. But she is not afraid, she is grounded and determined to keep on standing no matter how much trepidation she feels.  In her French language picture description, according to Google Translate, she wrote:

2025, are you already testing me?

I laid down my arms in 2024 but it seems that I am not at peace.

You stab me viciously and without scruples.

Should I arm myself even more? What future do you have in store for me? Will the fights be even more violent?

It seems that you are putting me face to face with my worst fears. I understand now that you will not give me any respite, that I will have to fight, again, always, against the obstacles that you impose on me.

But do not forget who I am, you touched me first, you put me on the ground and maybe even underground… But I have the strength to bounce back and at that moment, I will no longer be afraid, I will no longer be in pain. Just do not forget who I am.

Here is another picture that drew me in. There is this funny trick about black and white photos. There is simplicity in the colors, just a duotone of black and white. But that restriction to just two colors reveals the play of light and shadow, a complexity is created out of that simplicity. I also love that she reminds me of Brigitte Bardot, especially wit that hair. . 

Cursiichella’s photostream is gloriously fun and exciting. She is having fun, walking her dog, jumping off cliffs into the ocean, hanging with friends, and doing some cosplay. And all beautifully chronicled with her lovely pictures.
