The “Asian Pacific Heritage Festival” is a post from Gidge Uirza. If you didn’t know it by now, Gidge is my best and oldest friend in Second Life. We met when I got stuck underneath a stairway and couldn’t get out. She blogs at It’s Only Fashion, the blog we started back in 2008. She is still blogging strong. Old Guard, indeed. She went to the Asian-Pacific Heritage Festival today and wrote about. That’s what is so great about her blogging style. She does things and then writes about. It’s not just fashion, it’s lifestyle, SL lifestyle and it akes her blog great.

In “Ice Cold Psycho”, Gidge wrote this might be “one of the Gidgiest pictures ever” and it’s true. Gidge loves pink and she loves to shoot pics of her eating, drinking, and exploring our virtual world. I generally don’t like the lingerie blog posts, but this works because she mocks the strangeness of someone wandering around in lingerie. “I’m not sure why I’m running around in my lingerie with a cocktail but I guess when in Rome…It’s just been one of those days, I didn’t feel like getting dressed and I needed a drink. Saturdays can be like that, can’t they?” She’s hilarious.

It’s Only Fashion is a fun blog. Both Gidge Uriza and Rosemarie Indigo blog there and they both talk about more than just the credits. They have fun in Second Life and it shows. Gidge is hilarious. She is one of the funniest people I know and she makes Second Life and the blog a joy. She provides links to events and the places she goes. She doesn’t provide SLurls to stores, but that’s on me. I hate going to a blog, clicking a link, and hitting ban lines or getting bounced. I think it’s much better to provide the creator’s name and count on them to update their profiles.
