Jorgia Prynce’s “The Breakthrough” captures the excited euphoria of discovery so perfectly. I love how her expression and pose communicate the emotions. Her outfit makes me think she has discovered a new spell at some magic academy rather than a new polymer. Also, science labs tend to be well-lit. I love the excellent story-telling! “She liked to keep souvenirs from each of their hunts. The Whacsa she called a companion was much mightier than his size would suggest. With a smack of the long tendrils on his back, he’d startle entire crews of ships, giving his siren companion a window to collect her prize and perhaps some poor sailor for dinner. There were tales about them by now. Warnings even. If you feel a bump in the waves, move away from the edges and be vigilant, less you become another trophy for the Black Siren.”
I love that “The Black Siren” is in murky water. The light filtering through is muted, but still reveals the siren and the fish. I love how the kelp waving in the water behind her looks almost like ribbons on a dress. Jorgia provides some of the story behind the picture which sent me trying to learn what a whacsa is. She also provides a gif to show her post-processing.

“The Veela” is another fantastical creature, one who can conjure up balls of fire in her hands. She provides a handy before/after gif showing how the raw photo in Second Life was edited into what you see on Flickr. From the description, I can recommend that you do not anger a veela.
Jorgia Prynce’s photostream is a lot of fun to follow. She offers a wide variety of role-play characters and usually includes something about the character in her description. I love her before and after gifs that show the raw SL photo transformed by just a few tweaks of light into this more striking and dramatic result. A lot of her edits are using light to illuminate and bring out details. Great pictures with fun stories, what more can you ask for?
