I love the name of Aria Christen’s blog, Little Side Project. I also love many of her post’s names, including the one celebrating Independence Day last weekend, “Time to Get Star-Spangled Hammered.” And then there is all the watermelon. There’s nothing better than watermelon and burgers for a picnic. There are two pictures in the post with a ton of picnic foods and supplies, so click through for the complete list.
- Junk Food – July 4th Burgers
- Junk Food – Hot Dog Tray (Red)
- Junk Food – Platters Plate
- Junk Food – Watermelon Platter (White)

“All Things Left Wild” is her most recent post and typical of her fashion style that focuses on maximal skin and minimal clothing. I was most intrigued by the cone with pretzels.

Little Side Project is a good blog with excellent pictures that show featured items clearly. She brings her minimal approach to her blog, not loading it down with tons of widgets. Rather than sidebars, she has a menu icon on the upper left that leads to an about page, a list of feeds and blogs, a thank you page that lists the events and stores she blogs for and information about hiring her for landscaping and decor or photography. That little widget remains in the frame as you page down, always available, but small and not imposing itself.
One thing I would change, though, is how she links to her blog from Flickr. She just links to the home page and readers have to scroll down looking for the post they want to find. That’s fine for something recent, but what if you clicked from a year ago? You would have to use Search, which thankfully is available from a little menu box on the right. If you like casual clothing that covers as little as possible, swimwear, and lingerie, this is a great blog for you.
