Devin SL Artbreeder avatar

My post last week on Artbreeder, which uses Generative Adversarial Networks to create "children" of an original image, generated a mini-burst of excitement among many in the SL community, who started experimenting with the process to turn pictures of their avatars into "real" people. And the results are pretty mesmerizing! Above is one by Devin Vaughn, whose avatar looks in real life, I guess, like the clone of Ronan Farrow blended with Anderson Cooper?

Some more below:

This pair above by Tillie.

And these two by Grazia Horwitz.

This pair by Nodoka Hanamura.

Some more on this Plurk thread. Good news: I just got an in-depth tutorial from the creator who inspired these posts and will hopefully post that soon.

I actually put my Second Life Avatar on Artbreeder! Renmiri still lives on, even though I haven’t logged in SL for a few years..
Artbreeder is a lot fun, look for my Wiki with tips and tutorials for it on Wikia

I have been using AI and mapping to go the other way. I have a collection of my Avatar self that is a bit shall we say odd.
