This made me laugh because my cat does the same thing when I read. She stares at the page trying to see what I see. Sometimes she will paw the page as though trying to scare whatever is hiding out into the open. I love how her picture looks just natural – even more so since you can see into her studio through the window, implying that the setting is more constant than something on a platform.
Oh, wow! This portrait is stunning. I love the Marcel waves, though it does make my ears hurt in sympathy.
