Enjoy the superior comfort and timeless elegance of Dutchie’s wood-burning hot tub with integrated stove. The hot tub arrives ready to use, fire and water turn on my simple sitting on it. It offers options for relaxing, soaking, chatting, drinking champagne, as well as more romantic options.

Dutchie’s hot tub is suited for both outdoor and indoor use and comes in 2 versions: PG and Adult. Both have AV-sitter experience enabled for auto attaching of props and all animations have Bento hand poses and animations.

The outside wood paneling is color changeable into 3 different colors: a light fresh wood, a warm redwood, and a stylish gray wash.

More details on Dutchie's site. She put quite a lot of love and technical/artistic expertise into its creation. Here's how she brought her tub to life:

"The hot tub model was created in Autodesk Maya, the textures partly in Substance Painter, partly in Photoshop. Some of the animations are full perm available in SL, some are custom made. The scripting to make them work are the open-source AV-sitter scripts, plus custom plug-ins by Auryn Beorn of Black Tulip. Those for example make the water and fire turn on when you sit on the tub.

"Creating the illusion of water is done with several elements: the first is the top layer of with an animated texture of light blue water. I wanted more depth to the water, so I added another layer with a different animated texture that covers the fiberglass underneath. It produces some hardly noticeable steam particles to make it look pleasantly warm, and there is a soft bubbling sound that can be adjusted in volume. 

"The fire also consists of several parts. There are the full bright logs themselves, and over the logs is a shape-like flames, which has an animated texture. It also bursts out flame particles and an occasional ember, which altogether makes for an irregular realistic look. 

"It's not light on textures and scripts, but I feel water and fire are worth that bit extra. In first life, few things give so much relaxation as these and when done right, they really help with the immersion in SL. Soaking in a hot tub like this helps people calm down and relax, and we can all use that right now.

"As for inspiration, I have a list on my desktop of about 25 items that I want to make. By some magic, it never becomes shorter 😉 I make things on this list while I'm gathering courage for the next furnished house. The hot tub fits with a sauna I made before and I plan on making an outdoor shower in the same style as well, so people have a whole range of designs to create their own spa experience with."
