Siobhan Muintir’s photostream is a pop art lover’s delight. I guess I have to check out Misfits Dance Company and the Kul Katz. Siobhan uses layers, filters and color balancing to turn this into fabulous pop art.
More pop art pictures ahead.
This was the first photo that caught my eye for today’s column. I love the radiating sunlight and how everything is blown out and simplified and then the two rows of shoes like birds on a wire.
“Camus” is so bold with her use of color. Not wedded to realism, she is free to play with color and she does.
Siobhan’s stream is full of experimentation, not just with color but with many overlays and filters that sometimes make the subject an abstraction and sometimes seem to make them more real than a conventional shot. Or sometimes like a lizard on Alpha Centauri.
