Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
“Shades of Blue” is a recent post on Shocking Wonder’s Virtual World Lifestyle blog that just totally sucked me in, evoking Santorin, the town on the edge of a volcano in the Mediterranean where all the buildings are white with blue trim. It has the bright Meditteranean sunshine and the lush bougainvillea that adds pops of brilliant color. The scene is filled with details and her list of contents is extensive from her body to her pose and the background buildings, the beach, furnishing, decor, and food. “Fisherman’s Refuge” gives us a fun oceanside shack complete with a ping-pong table. I love that the shack comes with a dock. I also love the boat. I enjoy a well-appointed and detail home decor post that does a lot of mixing and matching, bringing together old and new items. For all the details, check out the post.
I love her bright and colorful pictures and how thoroughly she creates a scene. Shocking Wonder’s Virtual World Lifestyle presents with a simple interface on the home page. There is the header and then three columns of photos that has a bit of text (the item list) that encourages you to click through to the posts which have the complete list. When you go to the post, there is a sidebar on the right with recent posts, a Flickr widget, her favorite blogs, feeds, and stores. There is a search bar at the top and on the upper right and at the bottom, options for following her blog. I would suggest she add an about page or text widget with her in-world name so if someone wants to contact her, perhaps to invite her to blog for them, they can find her. However, they can find her at her Flickr About page, so she is not completely hidden.
