Names was something that we used to have for free. It was taken away in a bone-headed maneuver, then returned a decade later for an outrageous fee during a pandemic and global economic crisis.

It would have come back now pandemic or not. Everyone that keeps going on about the timing of it and how it’s such a terrible thing, should consider if something that doesn’t affect anyone in the real world, like deliveries and shop workers and medical staff that do have to carry on working in this pandemic have to, really needs to be delayed.

I think the answer is “yes”. Real people need to be considered in a virtual world and when millions and millions of people are in crisis, they need to be considered by those who aren’t. Isn’t that part of this quarantine lesson?
It’s like a teaspoon of price gouging mixed in a cup of all about me. It’s one thing to play a self-absorbed character in a virtual world, but it’s another thing to actually be one in the real world these days.LikeLike
