Len. T’s thought-provoking “In Case of Memory, Set Fire” made me smile because we need more people who want the truth, even if it burns. Truth is often uncomfortable and most of us prefer to fool ourselves. We do this in relationships, at work, and in politics. We would rather polish a turd and comfort ourselves with lies.
But isn’t the horrible road America is on due to too many of us preferring gold-plated turds to rough diamonds? Let’s warm ourselves with some honesty, as uncomfortable as it gets. I think Len is from France, but there are gold-plated turds all over the world. Sadly.

“Alone…together” is a lovely picture. At a glance, they seem like a lovely couple enjoying a day arm in arm. She has a balloon suggesting they may be at the beach or a park. Except there is no sand nor grass nor any vegetation. Is it hard-packed snow, perhaps ash? I don’t know but it looks like a wasteland and the text says “We were two, but the void followed us.” So the ground they are walking on is, metaphorically, the void, or perhaps we should say The Void, the essential nothingness. Zero. I love that this picture has this at-a-glance beauty and another very different sentiment if you look a bit longer.

“Refract” is one of my favorites of her pictures. It’s not the usual reflection of an avatar on a still body of water. Refraction is when light hits at an angle so it doesn’t bounce back, it goes off at an angle. Well, take a good look. She is not reflected in the water. He is. Talk about going off at an angle.
Len. T’s stream is one to take your time over. Sometimes the titles prompt a deeper insight into what her picture is showing. She often provides links to songs that also are part of the story. Her stream is contemplative and full of fascinating pictures. It is one for looking at while you are home, not on a work break, not just because of a stray bit of exposure, but also because you will want time to think about her pictures and what she wants to convey or perhaps, more importantly, what meaning you draw from them.
