Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting

YO! has such an exciting, naturalistic photostream. Like this picture of her leaning forward and looking into the distance as though she has heard some distant sound like maybe the piercing cry of an eagle or the haunting laughter of a loon at night. The picture is aged and damaged by time and it seems that there might be a mountain in the distance, as though she is outdoors. There is a sense of urgency in the way she holds her body. I can think of so many stories.

I love this picture of a man in a field of tulips. It seems so real, but it was taken in Second Life. You can follow the teleport link and see for yourself. It was taken at a sim called “zaanse schans”. [To teleport, click here.] The depth of field blur, the appearance of age and wear and tear, what may seem like flaws in real life, but in Second Life they only add verisimilitude.

I love this picture of a bicycle. Unlike the others, it’s sharp and fresh, without any aging filters. Depth of field sets the city at a distance, making the bike jump out of the picture, so bright and bold, promising all sorts of delightful rides.

YO!’s stream is so artful and fun. I love to see her pics. I love how natural and real they seem. They seem so simple on the surface, but they must have required a lot of thought and planning. Simplicity usually takes more work.
